How We Calculate Emissions per Participant
Categorizing Travel
We start by grouping all travel data into categories, such as flights, car travel, and public transportation.
Summing Up Emissions
For each category, we calculate the total emissions generated by all participants.
Participant Count by Sector
Next, we determine the total number of participants who traveled within each category.
Calculating the Average
Finally, we divide the total emissions for each category by the number of participants in that group, resulting in the average emissions per participant per travel sector.
